Chokers- Are the 'in' now?

Well Hello Again,
I do apologise for not being active on this blog. I was so prepared to post a billion things but I just didn't have the time to. Well as you can guess from the title, the item of clothing which has been on my mind for a long time has been chokers. Well I didn't say I had anything against them but it annoys me that one minute everyone starts to jump of them like a pack of hyenas because Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez wore them. One minute you would see someone wearing a hollister tracksuit with the brand written up their leg and next minute they are donning denim jackets and heavy eye makeup. Weird right? Well everyone is entitled to their own style but I don't think that you should copy a celebrity to look 'cool'.

So this is the famous choker. I can not walk past a bunch people without people wearing the same thing. Denim Jacket, plain and dark crop top, a pencil skirt of leggins, chelsea boots and to top it off a choker. It just makes the group of people look like completely fake hipsters and I still laugh a bit when I see a whole number of them walk past me with their starbucks coffee. I personally would prefer a pair of black jeans, a simple top and converse. I'm not one to go all showy on my clothes. I will be extravagant but I don't go out much. It is like a teenager can't be a stylish. They would probably tell me to march back to newlook and pick out a skimpy bodycon dress with aztec printing and random nonsense like that.
The moral of the story? Don't copy other styles because annoying people like me will get a bit annoyed about it then they will write a completely pointless blog post about it.

Kisses,

What's 'instyle' in my world|

Why, hello again!
Nice to see you have popped up at my blog today if I could I would personally shake you hand. I am sitting down at 10:30pm on a Sunday night, sucking on a mini calippo and watching Tanya Burr make scrumptious white chocolate cookies. Maybe I will find myself in the kitchen one day snacking on them. Only if the baking gods bless me with the skills not to burn the kitchen, let alone the house down. My mum wouldn't be very pleased with that wouldn't she. Enough of that topic, well today I want to tell you guys what I think is 'in' and what I think I would wear when I go outside.

Well, I tested this at SuperDrug and oh my gosh I need to get myself some of this. Maybe I will ask for it for christmas because it has already been my birthday and it is quite cheap. The largest amount, 75ml goes for around £70 and the smallest, 30ml, for £41.50 so now I just need to suck up to my mum for a couple of months.

Now this is an old piece from the Burberry Prorsum AW/12 but it is just too good not be on my blog. This jacket is just amazing! I love how it was accessorised with a simple brown, bow belt  but it just added that extra oomph to it. I like the large patches/pockets on the side , the square shoulders and the folds going up the arm. It is like a massive cardigan and I'm just in love with it!

This is slowly creeping into fashion again, the classic trench coat. Whenever that words pops up I think about detectives and early 20th century tv shows (You know black and white with top hats). Well you know, nothing beats the good old mulberry trench coat. I actually think I have a slight obsession with any brand which ends with 'berry' at the moment. So if you make a brand with berry at the end I would sure as hell check the place out. This trenchcoat is beautiful mainly because the fitting of this just makes me speechless, the way that the shoulders are quite broad and square yet feminine at the same time. It is for the classic city look although most people working around there opt in for the navy and black coat instead. Walking down Oxford street in this with your bag swinging at your knees, all eyes will be turned at you.

P.s. I just found the cutest photo of Ed Westwick in a trench coat, he is just *drools*

Last but not least.... my favourite album for this week! My obsession for the 1975 has grown so much. I could stare at pictures of Matt Healy all day long (And marry him!). This band is fresh, fun, cool and have such a funky sound that I find myself bobbing my head slightly whenever I listen to their songs. My favourite song at the moment? Chocolate, of course. Such an odd name but Matt could melt 1kg of butter. This band is just amazing and you guys should definitely check them out if you want something different and fresh. I love all the members and their luscious hair and cute sticky outy ears.

The, so this is how I would describe what I like and stuff. If you want to see more, check out this space on Wednesday and Saturday because you are awesome! I will now hand you a virtual cupcake and life would be a tad bit better.

Kisses,

Grandiose; adj- affectedly grand or important; pompous.

Synonyms;pretentious, extravagant, flamboyant, splashy high-flown.

Well hello there everyone,
Welcome to my world! This is a space where my creativity will go wild, yes I am girl in North London with African Descent who happens to 'waste' all the money given to her on fashion magazines. I am a teenager who doesn't fit in with her generation who would rather not sport Aztec leggings and a crop top printed with the word 'boys' on it. I'm quite an individual person who finds comfort in charity shops, strong tea and oversized jumpers. I hope you enjoy this place and am quite glad that you have even bothered to read further than the title.
Expect a lot of fashion, beauty and Audrey Hepburn (Oh how I love the Golden Age!). I'm just bringing my styles to this page and that's all I have to say. I will also add some collages which I have put together throughout my summer.
*sighs* Oh Cara *dazes at magazine cover*

Kisses,
Naomi.
